What does Numera do?
Numera is revolutionizing how small businesses and freelancers manage their payments and accounting.
In Mexico, the traditional method of sending and receiving invoices entails real-time auditing by Hacienda, the IRS equivalent in Mexico, which poses significant challenges for entrepreneurs.
This outdated process consumes valuable time and imposes substantial business costs, necessitating specialized software and compliance expertise.
Numera streamlines invoicing procedures and alleviates the burden on entrepreneurs, allowing them to focus on their core business activities.
What's your backstory?
Gabriel studied software engineering at Monterrey Tec and earned his MBA from Johnson Cornell Tech.
He is a seasoned entrepreneur with over 9 years of experience in tech consulting and multiple ventures across various industries, including prop-tech, delivery, and fintech.
At Axented, Gabriel gained firsthand insight into the persistent challenges faced by Mexico's small and medium-sized business ecosystem. Recognizing the need for a comprehensive solution, Gabriel decided to dedicate full-time to building a better solution to this problem.
How did you come up with the idea?
During his tenure at Axented, a software development agency, Gabriel realized his business consistently grappled with this pain point. To alleviate this challenge, Gabriel and his cofounders searched for a suitable SaaS tool, only to discover that the available solutions were predominantly tailored to the US or international markets, failing to address their needs.
Gabriel spearheaded the development of Numera as an internal tool designed to tackle this problem. However, Numera showed the potential to surpass its original purpose and become its own entity.
How did you acquire your first customers?
Numera just launched its minimum viable product (MVP) and is gearing up to execute an inbound and outbound digital and email marketing strategy targeting freelancers, entrepreneurs, and SMBs in Mexico.
What's your motivation?
Having had the privilege of living abroad, Gabriel witnessed the impressive level of digitalization achieved by other nations, so he thought, why can't we have the same level of automation in Mexico?
Recognizing the immense potential and benefits of digitizing processes and businesses, Gabriel decided to create the most user-friendly, fully digital payment and accounting solution tailored specifically for small and medium-sized businesses.
What's next for Numera?

Long-term: Our ultimate goal is to become a trusted and widely adopted ERP for small and medium-sized businesses in Mexico.
